(9) The Constitution is not under a formal review.
(10)-(12) The CSMC has undertaken a preliminary assessment of the Constitution, but a formal review process has not been initiated.  The CSMC noted that the Constitution does not reflect the current government agency structure. The Constitution of the CSMC sets out the terms of reference and conditions as determined by the Minister and any amendments require the approval of the Minister for Environment.
(13) Consultation processes will be determined should a formal review be undertaken.
(14) Three.
(15) The three unoccupied positions have been vacant for approximately one year and include a representative from the Department of Water (DoW), and members from the community and the horticulture/agriculture industry.
(16) The DoW vacancy is not required to be advertised. The position for a community member must be advertised, with a call for applications in the appropriate newspapers. The horticulture/agriculture industry is required to nominate a representative. Processes to fill the community and horticulture/agriculture industry vacancies will be considered by the CSMC at its next meeting in December 2014.
(17) There are three members of the CSMC currently employed in scientific roles. A number of other CSMC members have qualifications or experience in areas of science.
