I refer to page 416 of Budget Paper No. 2, Volume 2, in reference to the "Service Summary" and, in particular, "Advocacy, Guardianship and Administrative Services", and I ask: (a) is it the Government’s intention to amend the Guardianship and Administration Act 1990 ; (b) if yes to (a), when; (c) what stage is the amendment bill at that former Attorney General Quigley advised the Select Committee on Elder Abuse had received Cabinet approval in December 2017; and (d) what is the current status of the Law Reform Commission of Western Australia’s 'Project 114 – review of the Guardianship and Administration Laws' as directed by former Attorney General Quigley, who stated a final report would be provided by 1 April 2025?

(a) The Government will consider the findings and recommendations of the Law Reform Commission of Western Australia when it releases its Final Report on its review of the Guardianship and Administration Act 1990 (WA).
(b) N/A.
(c) This information is Cabinet-in-Confidence.
(d) The Attorney General extended the due date. As a result, the Law Reform Commission of Western Australia will complete its review of the Guardianship and Administration Act 1990 (WA) in late 2025.
