(1) In light of the recent announcement by Minister McSweeney of a National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness with the Federal Government, can the Minister advise if there will be a revision of the original plan to sell off 187 Homeswest homes in Port Hedland as part of the New Living Program?
(2) Can the Minister advise if funds from this Partnership can be made available to retain some of these refurbished homes to bolster the housing stock and thus reduce homeless numbers in Port Hedland?

(1) No.
(2) No, however, the Australian and Western Australian Governments will contribute $135.1
million over four years to reduce homelessness under the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness.
Under the South Hedland New Living Program, 480 dwellings will be refurbished with 187 properties to be sold to private buyers and 293 dwellings retained for social housing.  Additional land will also be made available for the public housing construction program and affordable housing.
