1371. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
(1) Can the
minister confirm that WA Health has signed, or is about to sign, a deal to
store WA Health records offshore in Singapore?
(2) If yes to
(1), which company is storing the records, and can the minister confirm whether
this storage system has already crashed twice since first being used?
(3) What
guarantees can the minister give on the privacy of Western Australian patients
if their records are being stored overseas, and will the company be forced to
comply with legislation relating to medical records and national privacy laws?
