for Transport:

refer to the WA public transport system and delays and cancellations, which
occur from time to time.

What system is used for logging delays and faults on the Public Transport
Authority train network?
(2)
What are the main categories of issues recorded; for example, what category was
used to record the delay on the Yanchep line on 24 May 2025?

Is the time of occurrence of delays and cancellations recorded?
(4)
What percentage of delays and cancellations across the train system in the past
eight weeks occurred during peak hour times?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. I answer on behalf of the
parliamentary secretary representing. The following answer has been provided by
the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(4)
The PTA uses an internal software reporting system for logging delays and
faults on its network. There are dozens of incident categories covering
operational issues, infrastructure and rolling stock faults and external
impacts to the railway, such as weather and trespass/security-related
incidents.
