I refer to the Platform and Signalling Upgrade Program business case, which includes the upgrades needed to fit longer trains for the Fremantle, Armadale and Midland Lines, and I ask: (a) what is the current status of the business case; (b) when is the business case expected to be completed; (c) will the Minister commit to making the full business case report public either before a funding commitment based on the findings are made, or when a funding commitment is made; and (d) should the upgrades canvassed above not take place, what will be the impact on the passenger train system?

(a)-(d)  A Major Infrastructure Proposal Assessment has been carried out by Infrastructure WA for Phases 1 and 2 of the Platform and Signalling Upgrade Program, and the Summary Assessment Report is available from their website.
I table a copy of this document.
I remind the Member that successive leaders of the Liberal Party refused to allow this Government – the one responsible for constructing and opening it – access to the business case for the Forrestfield–Airport Link project.
