(ii) in what form has that financial assistance been provided; and
(ii) which of these projects has been abandoned, delayed or is expected to proceed?
By way of background, I am able to advise the House that the Commonwealth provides direct financial assistance to companies on an individual project by project basis. Accordingly, the Commonwealth regards this information as confidential. This approach contrasts with the State's policy of providing multi-user infrastructure. I have asked the Commonwealth to supply me with details on common user infrastructure financial assistance measures provided to proponents so as to ensure that no "double dipping" occurs. To date I have not been provided with details of any assistance measures provided by the Commonwealth for such projects.

As the program to which the question refers is administered by the Commonwealth Government, the question is best directed to the Commonwealth Minister with responsibility for Invest Australia. The Hon Ian Macfarlane MP is the Commonwealth Minister most able to provide accurate details of Western Australian projects that have been granted financial assistance through the services provided by Invest Australia.
