The total nominal value of leave liabilities, including vacation leave under the School Education Act 1999 , as at 1 March each year are:

From 1 July 2017, Machinery of Government (MOG) changes resulted in the amalgamation of the Department of Education Services (DES), School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA), Country High School Hostels Authority (CHSHA) and the former Department of Education. The figures provided for March 2017 relate to the former Department of Education only and exclude the liabilities of DES, SCSA and CHSHA. The figures for March 2018 and 2019 include the liability for all staff resulting from the MOG.
Since the MOG, SCSA does not have leave liabilities as the Department of Education is the employing authority for staff and the board members are not employees of SCSA.
