Up to the end of the March quarter 2007, $15.38 million has been expended by the Water Corporation and the Department of Water on investigating the extraction of water from the South West Yarragadee since Labor came to power. This expenditure has delivered essential information for ongoing effective management of the groundwater resources in the south west including environmental and vegetation studies; social impact studies; monitoring bores; a test bore; pump testing and hydrogeological modelling.
