(2) How many properties are still under negotiation? (3) Has a report on the SPPS been given to government by Hendy Cowan? (4) Has any public report been provided by Hendy Cowan on the SPPS? (5) Will the minister provide me with a brief overview of what has been achieved so far with the SPPS? Hon KATE DOUST

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. (1) At 22 February 2008, Alcoa advised that it had purchased 52 properties. (2) None. Under the provisions of the deed of undertaking, a valuation submitted by the administrator to Alcoa is an offer to purchase the eligible property at the valuation amount. (3) Mr Cowan’s office submits a report on SPPS statistics to the Department of Industry and Resources each month. (4) No. (5) If the honourable member wishes, a briefing on the supplementary property purchase scheme can be arranged.
