GERALDTON HOSPITAL — STAGE 2 CONSTRUCTION
183. Hon DARREN WEST to the
minister representing the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to a commitment made by the Minister for Regional
Development as reported in The Geraldton
Guardian on 6 September 2013—just to refresh the minister's
memory—regarding the construction of stage 2 facilities at Geraldton
Hospital.
(1) When will
the minister honour his commitment and allocate funding from royalties for
regions for this project?
(2) What will be the total allocation from royalties for
regions for the project?
(3) When is construction likely to commence?
(4) If
construction will not commence, why has the government broken this promise to
the people of the midwest?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question,
(1) This was
conditional on the federal government commitment to matching funding for this
project. The federal government has not made a commitment to the funding.
(2)–(4) Not applicable.
