(1) The number of Court Ordered terminations obtained were: (a) 435 (b) 529 (c) 674 (d) 678 (e) 453 (2) Due to the number of Court Orders obtained, I am not prepared to dedicate the resources to gather the information requested. However I can advise that where Homeswest has sought Court Orders for termination of tenancy, rental arrears was the reason in the majority of cases. (3) Where Court Ordered terminations have been obtained as in question (1), a total of 450 of those tenants were evicted. The remainder of tenants either had their tenancy restored by rectifying the breach, voluntarily vacated, or abandoned. The number of evictions for each year, and the reason for each eviction were: Total number of evictions for year Reasons for eviction number (a) 72 Arrears 67 Antisocial behaviour 4 Property standards 1 (b) 85 Arrears 67 Antisocial Behaviour 8 Threatening Behaviour 1 Illegal Use 2 Property Standards 4 Non-occupancy Assault 1 1 Property damage and assault 1 (c) 87 Arrears 72 Antisocial behaviour 9 Property standards 1 Property damage 2 Threatening behaviour Arrears and antisocial behaviour 1 2 (d) 133 Arrears 103 Antisocial behaviour 20 Property standards 1 Property damage 4 Property damage and assault 1 Arrears and property damage 1 Arrears and property standards 2 Arrears and Illegal Use 1 (e) 73 Arrears 55 Antisocial behaviour 5 Illegal use 2 Threatening behaviour 1 Property standards 3 non-occupancy 2 Assault 1 Arrears and antisocial behaviour 1 Arrears and property standards 2 Failure to allow Access 1
