I refer to the answer to Question on Notice 1461 where the Minister for Health stated that the Department of Health has no future plans for the Grace Vaughan House site, and ask: (a) what will happen to Grace Vaughan House once the Communicable Disease Control and Environmental Health directorates vacate the site; (b) will another department occupy the site, and if so, which department, when and what is the fiscal rationale behind the decision; (c) will the site be sold, and if so, what is the time frame for the sale and will the funds be retained for use in the Health Department; and (d) will the site remain empty, and if so, what will the recurring maintenance costs to keep the building to an acceptable standard?

I am advised that:
(a) WA Health will deem the site surplus to requirements and submit the property for disposal/re-use management in accordance with the Governments Land Asset Sale Program managed by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.
(b-d) Unable to comment as the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage is the responsible agency for the management of surplus Government land and property disposal or re-use.
