STATE BUDGET 2012–13
— OAKAJEE PROJECT
343. Mr W.J. JOHNSTON to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
Would the negotiations referred to be made easier if the Liberal Party website
did not say that the Liberal state government has already delivered key
infrastructure projects such as the Oakajee port?

AnswerView source ↗

How boring. Yes, there is a mistake on the Liberal Party
website. The member said it the other day.
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Cannington, it would be quite easy for me to
order that supplementary question out of order due its intent with respect to a
particular party in this place. The Premier has chosen to answer the question.
I ask that everybody in this place give him the opportunity to do so.
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : It is a mistake. I do not know how long it has been there. It
is not my website and it is not something for which I take responsibility. It
should be corrected, but that is something I hope the Liberal Party will do. It
is not the government website. Have I ever gone out and said that Oakajee has
been completed? I do not think so.
Mrs
M.H. Roberts interjected.
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : That comment must have been funny because the member for
Midland is laughing.
The member for Cannington makes his
decisive point repeatedly, as he did the other day in estimates. Big deal; same
point. It has not been corrected. The member is the last person who should be
talking about the suitability of websites.
