media release titled ''Government introduces strict new controls for
hydraulic fracturing'' from the Minister for Environment, the Premier
and the Minister for Mines and Petroleum.
(1) Will all
royalties from unconventional oil and gas projects be directed into the clean
energy future fund?
(2) If no to (1), what portion of
the royalties will be used for this purpose?
(3) Will the
renewable energy projects be exclusively located in the regions where hydraulic
fracturing is permitted?

that flow into the clean energy future fund will be net of any royalties for
regions contributions and GST redistribution by the Commonwealth Grants
Commission.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) The clean
energy future fund will support renewable energy projects and transition the
state to a low emissions future. The
specifics of the fund, including goals and governance framework, will be
determined by a cross-government implementation group comprising senior
officers from key departments.
