INDIGENOUS AFFAIRS — WHOLE-OF-GOVERNMENT FRAMEWORK
I draw to the minister’s attention page 21 of the 2006-07 Department of Indigenous Affairs annual report, which refers to the development of a whole-of-government framework for Indigenous services that was to be released for consultation towards the end of 2007. (1) When will the Department of Indigenous Affairs release a whole-of-government policy and accountability function to ensure government services are meeting the needs of Indigenous people? (2) What meaningful participation have Indigenous people had to inform the whole-of-government framework and ensure that the many negative impacts that past mainstream policies have had on their wellbeing can be avoided in the future? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH
