STREETLIGHTS —
COONABIDGEE
809. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to streetlights S8235640,
S8235638, S8235639, S8235635 and S8235632 in the vicinity of Coonabidgee.
(1) Was a fault
reported on these streetlights on 27 September 2023?
(2) When were the
faults rectified?
(3) In what
timeframe is Western Power required to respond to reports of streetlight
outages?
(4) Is the
minister aware of ongoing and significant outages of streetlights on NorthLink
since its opening?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. On behalf of the Parliamentary Secretary to the
Minister for Energy, I provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister
for Energy.
(1) The
streetlights were reported on 29 September 2023.
(2) The faults
have not been rectified; crews are scheduled to attend in coming days.
(3) Western Power
aims to respond to streetlight fault reports within nine business days for
rural areas. The final repair works may take longer, depending on the fault.
(4) These assets
are owned by Main Roads Western Australia. I ask the member to please direct
his question to the Minister for Transport.
