(1) The Esperance Port Authority Board interviewed Mr Michal Frydrych on the 25 November 2009 in Perth and then entered into negotiations for him to take up the position of Chief Executive Officer, subject to the approval of the Minister for Transport. The offer to Mr Frydrych was communicated via a series of emails and telephone calls and a signed conditional contract was entered into on 30 December 2009.
(2) The Chairman forwarded the conditional contract and supporting material by email to the Chief of Staff of the Minister for Transport on 31 December 2009, with a hard copy of the documents being delivered to the Office of the Minister for Transport on 27 January 2010.
