PRIMARY SCHOOLS — BELMONT —
MAINTENANCE
1025. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the
Minister for Education:
With reference to the following primary schools in Belmont,
what is the estimated value and what are the details of any maintenance
currently required in —
(a) Belmay Primary School;
(b) Carlisle Primary School; and
(c) Redcliffe Primary School?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
All schools are inspected as part of the building condition
assessment—BCA—process every three years. As the building
condition assessment is a three-year cyclic process, it is not updated in the
intervening three-year period during which maintenance is completed and/or new
items arise. The next building condition assessment will be undertaken in 2016
as follows —
(a) the
building condition assessment process undertaken at Belmay Primary School in
2013 identified maintenance needs of $119 926. Since July 2013, $331 852 has
been spent on maintenance at the school;
(b) the
building condition assessment process undertaken at Carlisle Primary School in
2013 identified maintenance needs of $123 393. Since July 2013, $231 655 has
been spent on maintenance at the school; and
(c) the
building condition assessment process undertaken at Redcliffe Primary School in
2013 identified maintenance needs of $16 401. Since July 2013, $791 476 has
been spent on maintenance at the school.
