Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the answer to my question
without notice 1503.
(1) Have the four children recorded
as ''unaccounted for—not in contact'' been found?
(2) Are the whereabouts of the 11
children recorded as ''unaccounted for—in contact'' now
known?
(3) How many
children has the department reported to the Western Australia Police Force as a
missing person more than once this year?
(4) How many
reports have been made to the Department of Communities' senior
leadership this year about incidents that have occurred whilst a child has been
listed as missing or unaccounted for?
(5) How many children who are in the
care of the CEO have their whereabouts currently recorded as —
(a) unaccounted for—in
contact;
(b) unaccounted for—not in
contact; and
(c) missing?

Agriculture and Food, I provide the following answer provided by the Minister
for Child Protection.
The Department of Communities
advises as of 26 November 2024 —
(1) One young
person's whereabouts is now known. One young person is now listed as ''unaccounted
for—in contact''. The other two young people remain as ''unaccounted
for—not in contact''.
(2) The
whereabouts of five young persons is now known. The whereabouts of five young
people were known and are again listed as ''unaccounted for—in
contact''. One young person remains listed as ''unaccounted for—in
contact''.
(3) It is 18.
(4) All critical incidents are
escalated to Communities' senior leadership.
(5) There are —
(a) twelve;
(b) five; and
(c) one.
