I refer to the Attorney General’s answer last week that highlighted the extensive prior preparation between the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and then Assistant Commissioner Kucera five months before he gave evidence in the 1998 Mickelberg appeal. (1) Is the Attorney General aware that on 12 June last on the John McNamara radio show, the Minister for Health said that he was simply subpoenaed 17 years later to give very minor evidence that he happened to be at a police station at a certain time? (2) Has the Attorney General asked the Minister for Health to explain this airbrushing of his role, given that he knew five months before the appeal the nature and importance of his evidence, and also that it was the Minister for Health who personally invited Detective Sergeant Hancock to use his Belmont CIB office; or (3) Was this part of the plan hatched by the Attorney General, the Premier - Mr J.A. McGinty: I am sorry, I did not hear that, member. The SPEAKER: The Attorney General is having difficulty hearing the question the member for Nedlands is asking him. I am also having difficulty hearing it, and so is Hansard, I am sure. I ask members to desist from interjecting during a question. Ms S.E. WALKER: The third part of the question is - (3) Was this part of the plan hatched by the Attorney General, the Premier and the Minister for Health over the weekend of 8 and 9 June? Mr J.A. McGINTY
