YARRAGADEE AQUIFER - PRIVATE BORES
I ask a supplementary question. Can the minister guarantee that, if the Yarragadee proposal goes ahead, farmers in the south west will be able to access sufficient water for their needs? Mr J.C. KOBELKE

AnswerView source ↗

I have every confidence that we will manage water properly for the environment, and equitably for the users. In a number of areas in the south west, there is competition for water. That will be an issue regardless of whether we take water from the south west Yarragadee. If the decision is made to put in the infrastructure for the south west Yarragadee, that will be of considerable advantage in providing water to people in the south west.
