Promotional items are purchased by the Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) to promote Rottnest Island, not the organisation. The following details expenditure by RIA to promote Rottnest Island:
(a) Water bottles, frisbees, hats and golf towels, (unbranded) soft toy quokkas.
(b) Water bottles $358.00, frisbees $1,749.00, hats $1,719.25, golf towels $1,147.00, soft toy quokkas $1,362.00.
(c) Water bottles, frisbees and hats used in Radio Street Event promotions as giveaways during marketing campaigns; golf towels used during golf events and remaining frisbees used as prizes at Carnivale and Playgroup Play Day on the Island. Soft toy quokkas used as social media competition prizes, for familiarisations with international media/travel industry people and during consumer travel expos etc. (some still on hand to be on-sold to other Island businesses).
(d) Water bottles, frisbees, hats and golf towels were purchased from KC Sports and the soft toy quokkas were purchased from CA Australia.
