(a) The management of local government employees is the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer. The Local Government Act 1995 requires employees to disclose any interest relating to their delegated functions or other matters on which they are advising or reporting to the local government.
(b) As the employers responsible for these planners, local governments are required to have procedures in place to deal with conflicts of interest.
