I refer to the Water Corporation Domestic Water Use Study, and the response to my question No.1449, and ask -
(1) When did initial work commence on updating the Water Corporation Domestic Water Use Study (WCDWUS) 2001?
(2) What methodology was used to consult key stakeholders, residents, industry and consumers for the revised WCDWUS?
(3) What resources were and are used to gather, collect, and analyse data for the WCDWUS?
(4) What staffing resources have been used since the WCDWUS was recommenced?
(5) What dollar value has been allocated over the course of the project to commission, execute and deliver the WCDWUS?
(6) Water Corporation documentation (www.thinking50.com.au) reveals the WCDWUS was expected to be completed by December 2008. Why is the WCDWUS not complete nearly eighteen months after the expected delivery date?
(7) Referring to the National Water Commission/ Water Services Association Australia (Water Corporation is a member) report, ‘National Performance Report 2008 - 2009: urban water utilities’, how has residential water use changed since 2001?
(8) The CSIRO report into the South Western Australia Sustainable Yields Project (Water Corporation is a major partner) makes many predictions for the future of water supply, how will the key learnings from this project be integrated into the WCDWUS?
(9) The Department of Water document Water Futures for Western Australia 2008 - 2030 predicts massive growth in water use for the Perth region, how will key learning’s from this project be integrated into the WCDWUS?
(10) What is the Government doing to manage water resources for the future and drive strong action on water conservation?
