The West Australian Police Force advise that hard copy documents held by the Western Australia Police Force have not been previously appraised to identify State Archives from other record holdings. As such, the WA Police Force cannot quantify the holding of State Archives in any measure. The amended 2018 WA Police Force recordkeeping plan addresses the appraisal of hard copy documents. This change will assist in the future with quantifying specific categories of document holdings including state archives. Three full time employees (FTE) have specific training in the State Records Act 2000 . Six FTE have specific training in, or knowledge of the long-term care and preservation of State Archives. Two FTE have specific training in, or knowledge of the management of digital archives.
The Road Safety Commision advise that the Commission was attached to the WA Police Force on 1 July 2017 as part of the State Government’s Machinery of Government changes. Currently the Commission does not have any employees specifically trained in the State Records Act 2000 . The Commission has two employees with some knowledge of the long-term care and preservation of State Archives and knowledge of the management of digital archives.
