Hon Alison Xamon, on behalf of Hon Tim Clifford, asks the Minister for Housing about the number of unenforced termination and vacant possession orders, and pending court applications for termination orders, held by the Housing Authority, particularly those issued after 30 March 2020. The Minister responded that this data is not readily available and would require a resource-intensive manual review.

HOUSING —
TERMINATION ORDERS
349. Hon ALISON XAMON to the minister representing the
Minister for Housing:
I ask this question on behalf of Hon
Tim Clifford, who is away from the chamber on urgent parliamentary business.
(1) How many
current termination and vacant possession orders does the Housing Authority
have that it has not yet enforced; and, of these, how many were issued after 30
March?
(2) How many
court applications for termination orders does the Housing Authority currently
have before the Magistrates Court; and, of
these, how many were issued after 30 March?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) The
Department of Communities does not report on current termination notices,
current court orders and current court applications. It would be resource
intensive to obtain this information as the following would need to be manually
reviewed: every termination notice issued within the last 98 days, every court
order obtained within the last 12 months and current court listings.
