Public housing—Waitlists
159. Hon Dr Brad Pettitt to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Housing
and Works:
(1) How many applicants and individuals were on
the wait turn and priority public housing waitlists at the end of April 2025?
(2) How many individuals does this number of
applications represent for both the wait turn and priority public housing
waitlists respectively?
(3) Has the department corrected the double-counting
issue that has previously been raised?
(4) If no to (4), why not?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer has
been provided on behalf of the Minister for Housing and Works.
(1)–(2) As of 30 April 2025, there were
22,066 applications on the public housing waitlist statewide. This includes
7,125 priority applications.
(3)–(4) Please refer to the answer
provided in Legislative Council question without notice 714.
