Guy Cramp
141. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Police:
It has now been 24
hours since I raised with the minister the police response to the arrest
warrant for serial domestic violence offender Guy Cramp.
(1) Has the minister now been briefed on this
matter?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) If the offender was being electronically
monitored, why were police unable to locate him and, as the police stated
yesterday, were conducting inquiries into his whereabouts?

(1)–(3) Thanks, member. As I said
yesterday, this largely is a matter that lies outside of my portfolio
responsibility. However, I can tell the member that police vigorously opposed
bail for this individual. This individual, I think on Tuesday, failed to attend
a court matter in relation to assaults against police and, as a result, an
arrest warrant was issued and he was arrested by police on the same day.
As for issues relating to
monitoring, that is not a matter for my portfolio.
