Other portions of the subject land are proposed for either: - A negotiated planning solution, which aims to achieve a reasonable balance between conservation and development for Urban zoned land – an agreement was proposed with the relevant local authorities as part of Bush Forever, but is not finalised; or - Public Purpose reserve (to accommodate the existing land fill site) in the aforementioned MRS amendment; or - Urban Deferred in the aforementioned MRS Amendment (this portion is not affected by Bush Forever). (2) Up to $100 million over 10 years is available to acquire sites of highest conservation value. Acquisition of all sites is not proposed and the plan supports the retention of land in private ownership and seeks to honour existing commitments. Urban zoned lands are not proposed to be acquired and bushland areas, in these instances, will be protected through negotiated planning solutions.
