NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION
CODE
1173. Hon TIM CLIFFORD to the minister representing the
Minister for Housing:
I note that the Minister for
Commerce's response to question without notice 585 states that either
the 2019 or the 2016 National Construction Code could be implemented in
response to the preferences of Western Australian customers. Given that the
state government is the customer for the new social housing builds committed to
in the 2020–21 and 2021–22
financial years, can the minister please confirm that these builds will be
constructed in line with the 2019 National Construction Code to guarantee
maximum safety and energy efficiency for WA's most vulnerable?
