662. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the minister representing the
Minister for Community Services:
I refer to the answer provided to
supplementary question B10 asked during the 2023–24 budget estimates hearing
with the Department of Communities regarding a review into financial
counselling services, which stated a review was due to be completed in the
second half of 2023.
(1) Has the review into financial
counselling services been completed?
(2) If yes to (1), will the minister table a copy of the
review; and, if not, why not?
(3) If no to (1), when is the
review expected to be finalised?

Minister for Community Services.
(1) Yes.
(2) The review is
being considered by the Department of Communities and forms part of its
internal work to inform future commissioning of services. Communities works in
partnership with community sector partners to improve service delivery and,
therefore, the review in isolation is not reflective of the current or future
state of services.
(3) Not applicable.
