PERTH CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE - GOVERNMENT AGREEMENT
I refer the Treasurer to the government’s agreement for the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre project. (1) Will the Treasurer provide details on the timing and amounts paid to the developer under the agreement? (2) Did Treasury provide a briefing on the changes made to the contract following the change of government in 2001, and, if not, why not; and, if so, will the Treasurer table the briefing, and, if not, why not? (1) The question should be referred to the Minister for Housing and Works, as the minister was responsible for matters relating to the construction of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, including the timing and amounts paid to the developer. (2) No; there was no request to the Department of Treasury and Finance for a briefing.
