DISTRIBUTION LINE - MARGARET RIVER
I refer to the distribution line which provides power to Margaret River and which enters the town through the suburb of Riverslea. (1) When was this powerline laid? (2) Can the minister explain the tender process that resulted in the private contract to lay this powerline? (3) Who won the contract to put in this distribution line? (4) How much was the contract for? Hon KIM CHANCE

AnswerView source ↗

I thank Hon Barry House for providing some notice of the question. Western Power has a distribution line that feeds Riverslea, but this distribution line does not provide power to Margaret River. However, Western Power has a transmission line that runs through Riverslea and continues on to the Margaret River substation. A response can be provided in due course once it is clarified which line the question refers to. I therefore ask the honourable member to clarify which line is referred to and to place the question on notice. Hon Barry House : The one that was eaten by white ants! Hon KIM CHANCE : I will pass that on.
