7. Hon NEIL THOMSON to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Environment:
I refer to the cost recovery
regulations gazetted on 17 December 2021, which introduced fees and charges for
the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation to recover costs for
proposals referred to the Environmental Protection Authority under part IV,
divisions 1 and 2, of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
(1) How much has been cost recovered
for part IV activities by DWER?
(2) How many proponents have been
charged?
(3) Has the
government received a request for a deferral, later payment or an altered
payment schedule of the cost recovery fees?
(4) If yes to (3), how many requests
have been received?
(5) Has the government granted any
of the requests referred to in (3)?
