According to Main Roads' records 147 contracts have been awarded in relation to the planning/construction of the City Northern Bypass project since 1993. This figure encompasses contracts related to the Great Eastern Highway access to the Burswood Bridge road construction project. Because of the manner in which the contracts were structured it is not practical to identify those components that relate solely to the Great Eastern Highway/Orrong Road Interchange project.
