I find some of the questions from the opposition on this issue absurd. We have
been very clear with what is occurring. Yes, I did meet with the Premier and
the Treasurer. I have stated that. I have stated that on the public record. We
have met. We discussed at length a preliminary analysis that has been
undertaken on the bus light rail and I was encouraged to make further
investigations.
Several
members interjected.
Mr D.C. NALDER : No
decision has been taken. However, the preliminary analysis suggests that we
could deliver an equivalent like-for-like service and the only difference would
be the vehicle itself. Everything else would be identical. It was not decided
at that meeting that I would go public. That was not decided at that meeting at
all.
