I refer to the government's
annual rents imposed on mining tenements each financial year.
(1) What date was the last rental
increase announced?
(2) By what percentage was the rental
rate increased?

I thank the member for the
question. The following information has been provided to me by the Minister for
Mines and Petroleum.
(1) The last rental increase was
announced on 10 May 2018.
(2) The rental rate
was increased by six per cent, except for exploration licences years 1 to 3,
which increased by 1.5 per cent.
