I refer to page 13 of the 2017 Annual Report for the Department of Agriculture and Food WA which states that 8 out of 12 key efficiency indicators were met and I ask the Minister to: (a) Please provide a list of these 12 key efficiency indicators; (b) Please list which 8 were met and which 4 were not met; (c) Please explain why those 4 efficiency indicators were not met; and (d) What is being done to ensure that they are met in 2018?

(a) The 12 key efficiency indicators for the Department of Agriculture and Food, WA (DAFWA) were:
o Indicator 1.1 – Net service cost as a factor of the gross value of agricultural production
o Indicator 1.2. Public and private sector co-investment in DAFWA-led initiatives related to this service as a factor of the net cost of service
o Indicator 2.1 Net service cost as a factor of the gross value of agricultural production
o Indicator 2.2 Public and private sector co-investment in DAFWA-led initiatives related to this service as a factor of the net cost of service
o Indicator 3.1 Net service cost as a factor of the gross value of agricultural production
o Indicator 3.2 Public and private sector co-investment in DAFWA-led initiatives related to this service as a factor of the net cost of service

(c) The following provides an explanation as to why four indicators were not met:
(d) The above indicators became key efficiency indicators in the DPIRD 2017/18 Budget Paper. DPIRD is actively seeking co-investment in initiatives that it leads over 2017/18.
