The Department of Environment and Conservation provided comments in relation to the proposed Terminal WA Development to Westralia Airports Corporation Pty Ltd on 12 December 2008. I wrote to Westralia Airports Corporation on 24 December 2008 noting that the matter was been dealt with by DEC. I further noted that Western Australian legislation does not apply on airport lands and encouraged Westralia Airports Corporation to liaise with DEC to ensure that the development met community expectations for standards of environmental protection.
