(2) It is estimated that around 17,400 seniors card holders will receive a 25% concession on council rates in 2003/04. The Water Corporation has advised that it does not calculate forward estimates of the number of seniors card holders that will receive concessions. However, it does estimate the cost of the relevant concession in the budget year (see (4) below). (3) The total cost of the concession referred to in (1) for council rates was $2,865,342. The total cost of the concession referred to in (1) for water and sewerage rates was $1,955,089. (4) It is estimated that the cost of the concession referred to in (2) for council rates will be around $3,100,000. It is estimated that the cost of the concession referred to in (2) for water and sewerage rates will be around $2,000,000.
