I refer to the land known as the Sunset aged persons site in Dalkeith. (1) Is the government considering the disposal or sale of any of this land; and, if so, will the parliamentary secretary provide details of the government’s intention? (2) For what purpose are the buildings on the site currently being used and is there any intention to have the University of Western Australia or other party utilise these facilities; and, if so, will the parliamentary secretary provide details? (3) Is the government aware of the requirement to conserve the heritage site as a whole place; that is, as a heritage precinct? (4) Will the government give assurances that it will not allow any further building development on the site, thus conserving the site as a heritage precinct? (5) Will the government allow passive recreation on that part of the site designated as parks and recreation under the metropolitan region scheme, which is currently prevented by unwarranted security fencing? (6) What administrative procedures are in place to ensure the security of the site and buildings and the protection of the heritage aspects of the buildings? (7) Which local community groups or local steering committees is the government liaising with on the future of the Sunset site, and how regularly do liaison meetings occur? Hon KATE DOUST
