(c) The respective payments in the same order given in (b) above were $154,000, $154,000, $250,000, $250,000, $18,550, $16,000, $5,000 and $5,000. (d) The South West Coast Salmon Managed Fishery, Area 1 of the West Coast Estuarine Fishery, which is the Swan and Canning Rivers, and commercial crab fishing in Geographe Bay. (e) The State Government is fulfilling the election promise to phase out commercial fishing in the Swan and Canning Rivers through the continued availability of a Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme specifically targeted to this Fishery, which has left just two commercial operators. The current Scheme is ongoing until February 2007. If the Scheme does not attract further voluntary offers alternate legislative mechanisms, available under the Fisheries Adjustment Schemes Act 1987, will be considered.

(a) Two South West Coast Salmon Managed Fishery Licences and associated Fishing Boat Licences, two Area 1 West Coast Estuarine Managed Fishery Licences and associated Fishing Boat Licences for the Swan and Canning Rivers. In addition, Act of Grace payments were made to three commercial fishers for closing Geographe Bay to commercial crab fishing and one commercial fisher relating to the cancellation of a Fishing Boat Licence.
