POLICE — MOVE-ON NOTICES
155. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to move-on notices issued
pursuant to section 27 of the Criminal Investigation Act 2006.
(1) For each
category, from 2020 until 2023, how many move-on notices were issued to people
categorised as rough sleepers, illegally camping, living in their cars or
otherwise homeless?
(2) Of these notices, how many
move-on notices were issued against —
(a) each category of ethnic
appearance; and
(b) persons under 18 years of age?
(3) Of the
move-on notices issued, how many people were subsequently charged under section
153(1) for failure to comply?

of the Minister for Police.
(1)–(3) The
Western Australia Police Force is unable to provide an answer for the
honourable member as police records do not categorise persons identifying as
homeless, rough sleepers, illegally camping or living in their cars.
