COLLIE INDUSTRY ATTRACTION AND DEVELOPMENT FUND
41. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the $60 million Collie
industry attraction and development fund.
(1) What is the balance of
unallocated or uncommitted moneys remaining in the fund?
(2) What projects have received
funding from the fund, and to what value each?
(3) What new
full-time, part-time and casual positions have been created within each project
funded in (2)?
(4) How does the government measure
and quantify new jobs created from expenditure of the fund?
(5) Will the
minister table evidentiary data quantifying the number of new jobs expected to
be created in Collie as a result of that expenditure?

I thank the member for the
question. I know the member has a couple of similar questions; can I just
confirm that this is C005?
Hon Dr Steve Thomas : This is
C004, the Collie industry attraction and development fund. There is another
similar one.
Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN : I appear
to only have the answer to C005 here.
Hon Dr Steve Thomas : Would
you like me to ask C005 instead?
Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN : Yes,
if you could.
Hon Dr Steve Thomas : We can
do that.
The PRESIDENT : I think we
will allow that today!
