Can the minister advise the house of the following as at 31 March 2009 — (1) the number of seniors in Western Australia; (2) the number of Seniors Card holders in Western Australia; and (3) the number of households in Western Australia in which a Seniors Card holder resides? Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY

(1) On 30 June 2008, the estimated resident population of people aged 60 years and over in Western Australia was 368 145. (2) On 31 March 2009, there were 282 344 Seniors Card holders. (3) On 30 June 2008, there were 199 833 households in which one or more Seniors Card holders resided.
