representing the Attorney General:
I
refer to the response on 2 December 2021 to question without notice 1085, in
which the Attorney General informed the house that the review of the
amendments introduced by the Criminal Appeals Amendment (Double Jeopardy) Act
2012 was nearing completion and a review report would be tabled when this
review is completed.
(1) Is the Attorney General aware
that the review commenced in April 2018?
(2) Has this
review been completed?
(3) If yes to
(2), when did the Attorney General receive the review report?
(4) If no to (2),
will the Attorney General table the latest briefing note or similar document
received by him regarding this review?
