I thank the member for some notice of this question and having discussions with me to enable me to prepare an answer to this question. The question of lime sands and their benefit to Western Australian agriculture has been investigated. Personal investigation on my part is not required because Agriculture WA has carried out sufficient research to develop empirical, overwhelming evidence demonstrating the benefits of lime sands to agriculture. I am happy to advise that I will be consulting the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure about the provision of a lime sands route or routes to facilitate the transport of the material.
