BUNBURY SUBACUTE MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY
627. Hon ADELE FARINA to the minister
representing the Minister for Regional Development:
(1) Have two
business cases been submitted to the royalties for regions program for the
Bunbury subacute mental health facility?
(2) What were the
deficiencies in the first business case that required a second business case to
be submitted before funding for the facility would be confirmed?
(3) Is it the
minister's usual practice to approve funding for a project out of the
royalties for regions program before funding for the project is confirmed?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) One business
case was received for this project with subsequent revisions.
(2) The costings
within the business case required revision.
(3) Although this
project has been allocated funding in the royalties for regions budget, all
royalties for regions projects require cabinet approval or the Treasurer's
concurrence before funding can be released.
