Will the Treasurer advise as to any Act of Grace payments made by any agencies or departments under the Treasurer’s portfolio responsibilities between 1 January 2011 and 1 August 2011, including:
(a) the name of the person or company receiving the payment;
(b) the amount of the payment;
(c) the reasons for the payment; and
(d) the processes undertaken between the application, or proposal for such a payment to be made, and the making of that payment?

(d) Depending on the nature of the claim, advice is normally sought from the State Solicitor's Office or Solicitor General. In the above instances, three payments were approved by Cabinet and the Governor at Executive Council. Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (a) John Prior, Barrister (b) - (c) Amount Reason $ 1 881 Reimbursement of legal fees incurred by a senior prosecutor of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions compelled to attend and give evidence at a Corruption and Crime Commission of WA hearing. d) The application was made in accordance with the 1990 Guidelines relevant to Ministers and Officers involved in Legal Proceedings , as read with Premier's Circular No 2007/07. Payment was approved by the Hon Attorney General on the advice of the State Solicitor.
